Steve tabling the new hip
|
Since December
we have added another 5 photo galleries from chicksands which
i'm sure you guys have already discovered.
We have been having a major problem with people Spamming
our guestbook and at one point we had to take it off-line
for a while. Timmy has solved the problem for now, any entries
and comments to the guestbook now have to be audited before
they go up! So sorry if you experience a delay, we'll try
to get them up as soon as we can, usually within a few hours.

| Its
been a really busy time over Christmas and New Year, lots
riding, digging and building.
There is a buzz in the air
over the freeride side at Chicky at the moment, with a few
new features such as a lovely new step up (about 16ft), a
re-work to the jump in front of it, now butter smooth to hit
straight on, a hip landing on the left from the same jump
(totally sick!) and a small fast double to berm if you take
the left hand line (also a good line in for the hip ;) ).
We've also cut back the run in for the jump
to a smooth banked corner giving better speed and grip and
a variety of lines into the two jumps. A new run in for the
step up has been created as well.
Riders are queuing to ride this area at the
weekends, never seen attention like this in the freeride area
before!! SWEET!
Nearly all of the old shore
has been dismantled now, some of which has already been rebuilt
but some still needs rebuilding.
The wall ride has been re-worked by Dazza and
now rides a lot better with a proper angled ramp in and out
of it (you can still pop off the end if that's your thing!)
and the shore run in to it has also been re-worked and now
runs completely in to the wall ride allowing you to carry
greater speed in to it than before. (* Note to Scottie - 'in
to' should not be taken literally!!)

| Our
Shore is Saved! Chicksands North Shore update.
The North Shore is in the clear and is set
to stay, in agreement with the Forestry Commission the whole
of Rowney Warren is now under their Jurisdiction and they
have agreed to support the North Shore constructions as long
as they are built to their approved standards, kept safe and
maintained and inspected. All of the North Shore must be constructed
from treated wood so all the older stuff (built from re-claimed
wood from the forest) has had to go but will be replaced in
due time. New constructions must be submitted to the F.C.
first for approval before we can go ahead and build them.
All in all this is good news for Beds Fat
Trax as they will be able to continue developing Chicksands,
Rowney Warren in to one of the best, most versatile, all-round
riding spots in the UK. |
