Other
working titles included I don’t care what
the weatherman says or all that for a free cup
of tea. I had a few others but I can’t be
arsed. As I type this I should be about to start
my first run instead I’m sitting at home
after six hrs driving, 300 miles on the clock,
£40 of fuel wasted and all for a free cup
of tea (well coffee actually).

Well it’s
not often the weathermen get it right but they were
spot on, after getting up at far to early o clock,
I thought they knew nothing and this was true to
Brum, even to Kiddy. It was only in the fields the
other side of Kiddy however it started to settle
and at Clee Hill to go over 30 was just stupid (yeah
and it’s me saying this! Have you seen me
drive?). The little back lane from Ludlow to the
track was virgin snow and took an age to get down.
Once in suitable clothes “oh my good they’ve
just killed Kenny, you bas”£$%”
I set off to find out the score. |
The score was
it’s cancelled, in Dave and Lyndsey’s
defence how were they supposed to know that once
in a while the weathermen get it right. Apparently
on Saturday the track was fast and dry and according
to the brave/stupid who camped there, it wasn’t
snowing at 11: some reckon it started at 3. By
the time I got there 2 to 3 inches had fallen.
After an hour trying to find out what was going
on, the snow was starting to mount up and that
was enough for me, so I got in the car and slid
home well at least to Shrewsbury (which took over
an hour) where I found tarmac again and by Brum
it looked like a normal march day (as in just
cold).

What more can I
say? Well quite a lot actually, but I won’t
so only two weeks to Rheola. Who’s got a house
in Swansea the family and I can live in that weekend?
because I don’t want to be out in the caravan
in what I had today. And that’s me not saying
anything! See you around the Timmmey |
